Operations manager

Data security firm Hedgehog Security has appointed Rob Weil as its new operations manager. The Stoke-on-Trent company’s newest addition holds a degree in psychology from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne University, where he specialised in hypnosis and artificial intelligence.

The newly appointed operations manager will focus on achieving ISO 9001 status and increasing the quality of services provided.

Rob’s previous employers include Intel, US Robotics and Kodak. He is also well versed in marketing and customer services training, having worked for UBS Phillips & Drew, and as a director of a Cambridge based publishing company.

Hedgehog specialise in penetration testing and the provision of virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) services. The company offers assessing vulnerabilities in IT infrastructures and processes and social engineering and premises management.

Rob sid: “I’ve worked with a variety of IT and blue chip companies. This experience underpins my current role and I’m confident I’ll play an integral part in winning and managing new accounts. That and probably doing the tea and coffee run as the newest member of the team,” he joked.

His hobbies include composing digital music, travelling and indulging his penchant for drumming, which stems from his previous life as a drummer in a various bands.
