PoE power supply guide

by Mark Rowe

Dantech Electronic Engineering, the specialist manufacturer of power supplies and ancillary equipment for security applications, has released two ‘Quick look-up’ guides – for those wishing to source and specify analogue and PoE power supplies.

Detailing how to identify and specify the most suitable power supply product for a security systems application, the new guides are aimed at installer, project manager or consultant.

Available as a free PDF download or hard copy, the guides cover Dantech’s range of analogue and IP PoE power supplies, indicating key product features and bullet-pointed benefits, for specifying.

Included in the guide for analogue power supplies are: enclosure type, amount of outputs, max current output, ac input, battery support, additional features and part code. Whereas for IP PoE power supplies, information includes: Enclosure type, Midspan + (UPS) or Multispan + (UPS), number of PoE ports, dimensions, battery capacity, Ethernet speed and part code.

Tim Scott, Director at Dantech Electronic Engineering, said: “Supporting specifiers and installers to maximise long-term reliability for their analogue and IP security installations, Dantech has made it easy to select the most appropriate power supply product. With our new analogue and PoE quick look-up guides, we’re helping customers to choose the right power supply model to suit any CCTV, access control, intercom, intruder alarm or lighting systems application. Combined with a choice of IP66 rated plastic, steel, or rack mount enclosures, the easy to use guides help specifiers to choose a power supply that will deliver tried and tested reliability and performance, via a range of Dantech models designed specifically to meet the needs of security applications.”
