Smartphone app

by Mark Rowe

A security company has developed an onsite manned security app for smartphones and tablets.

Available to clients of Octavian Security, the new app will enable clients to access security information on site, historically and as it happens. This will include details of on site activity as it occurs, each site’s security KPIs and details of personnel on site at the time. The app will be provide clients with information from any supervisory visits.

Working across all mobile platforms and tablets, the app will receive information direct from the company’s central control room, concerning on site activity from its hundreds of guarded sites.

The app is the idea of Octavian owner and chairman Sukhi Ghuman, pictured. He says: “The app further assures our clients that their assets are being looked after, offering a real-time flow of information and reporting that is consistent and seamless. Clients will even be able to tailor the app to deliver the specific information they want. It’s exciting to be the first manned security company to deliver an app for its clients, and it’s another example of our commitment to transparency and market leading auditing and reporting.”

The app is free for Octavian clients to download from the Apple Store, and has been delivered for maximum reach, working across multiple smartphone platforms including iPhone, Android, Blackberry and mobile web.
