Scheduling software upgrade

by Mark Rowe

The users of Gallinet’s PeopleHours on-line scheduling and control room monitoring software can have a no-cost upgrade to one of its key applications over the next couple of months.

The company’s CallTaker (CT) application receives and processes thousands of hourly welfare calls from security staff working on assignments. It alerts in-house controllers, or Gallinet’s own controllers, of any calls not received, which could indicate a risk to an employee’s welfare, and prompting the immediate start of a pre-defined escalation plan.

Gallinet say that they have re-written this new version from the ground up, still Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and fully hosted. As before it requires no hardware or telephone lines for the client but adds new functions. The product company can now allow on-site officers to submit incident reports or messages via SMS, into the applications operational reporting modules. CT-IO can also make scheduled outbound welfare calls to officers or assignments where required; and can receive alert signals from third party devices, such as patrol recording equipment. As with all the firm’s services this is available to clients as either a managed or un-managed solution, as a purchase or rental.
