Paternoster Square contract

by Mark Rowe

In central London, Ward Security has been appointed by the Paternoster Square management team to manage the security of Paternoster Square by St Paul’s Cathedral. The contract was awarded after a competitive tender process.

It will see Ward Security’s London operations team manage the security provision for the 70,000 sq m estate 24 hours, 365 days of the year.

Paternoster Square offers office space, shops and restaurants. It is home to an established business community of blue-chip companies including the London Stock Exchange. The site itself has roots dating back to medieval times; it was redeveloped in 2003.

Kevin Ward, Managing Director of Ward Security said: “We are extremely pleased to have been chosen to manage the security for Paternoster Square. It is an iconic part of the City of London and a landmark site which we are well placed to keep safe and secure. We are highly experienced at working in partnership with estate management companies to create watertight security strategies that not only efficiently protect the site but utilise the best available security solutions on the market. We have an excellent team in place who are experienced in managing large scale, mixed-used developments, and particularly of those sites that experience the added pressure of having a high footfall of visitors. We are already working closely with the team at Paternoster Square to manage a seamless take over from the incumbent of the site.”
