Thinking Space Systems at IFSEC 2016

by Mark Rowe

Thinking Space Systems are returning to IFSEC International, at London’s ExCel. The three day security event will run from June 21 to to 23. The Thinking Space stand is H1070; a different stand number but the usual spot.

Thinking Space, a supplier of technical furniture for control rooms, will be bringing their latest solutions and applications for security environments to their stand, with two security consoles and a media wall. The focus this year is “controlling your workspace”.

With a range of features available for your security console, the firm will be demonstrating how each operator can take control of their environment, whether to adjust the position they work at or to control ambient lighting.

The firm’s electrically-operated height adjustable console, one of two consoles being demonstrated, allows each operator to control the height they wish to work at, all at the touch of a button. There will be some remote control options on show. Thinking Space will present a new desktop solution for healthy working practices, giving operators the chance to create a personalised active working shift.

The Moni-Trak perfect positioning rail is included on both consoles, displaying a range of Novus monitors, lighting and tablet mounting solutions for control rooms, all adjustable by each operator. The new TabletSafe is a lockable tablet mounting solution from the Novus RetailSystem range, for security reception areas as well as control rooms.

Below the desk surface the firm will demonstrate cable management solutions, which are standard on all Thinking Space desks. A recently published cable management animation video will be available to watch at the stand, or you can find out more by visiting the firm’s YouTube channel.

The custom designed Evolution media wall displays features which assist the workflows in a control room. PC tower mounts are fitted to the rear of the media wall so that each screen can be fed to the PC tower behind. This approach means that shorter cable runs mean less work in siting the towers, and they are hidden neatly behind each screen, giving a tidy solution.

The sales team for the UK and worldwide, will be on hand, to explain more about the materials and engineering methodology that creates all Thinking Space consoles, with demonstration samples and recent case studies.
