Thermal camera

The Security Buying Group has launched the TPV-BS series external rugged 360 degree pan and tilt thermal camera from TBT.

The camera features 360 degree continuous pan tilt motion, with digital flip. It has an IP68-rated weatherproof housing, capable of withstanding extreme weather, including full submergence in water.

The thermal camera has two lens options, chosen for medium to long-range perimeter surveillance use, the firms say. It will they add detect people and vehicles in total darkness, rain, mist and fog. Its 35mm lens option will detect people at up to 803m and vehicles at 2539m, identifying them at 97m or 285m respectively. The 20mm lens option detects people at up to 459m and vehicles at 1348m, identifying them at 97m or 285m respectively.

The thermal imaging video stream is 720 x 576 pixels, Clear Video Resolution (CVR), with a Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference (NETD) of below 40mk and a Pixel Pitch of 25µm.

The pan-tilt camera has an optional, 1000 hour saltwater-resistant coating, for extreme weather conditions, including coastal locations. A 3G, vibration-resistant option ensures reliable operation in transportation and mobile applications.
