Genie, FST Biometrics partner

by Mark Rowe

Genie, the manufacturer and distributor of CCTV and access control products, has announced a partnership with FST Biometrics to offer the In Motion Identification product in the UK.

In Motion Identification offers the firms say non-invasive identification use for access control. In Motion Identification is using a fusion of facial recognition, behavioral analytics, and voice analytics. The technology is able to identify authorised individuals from a distance, and in-motion. There is no slowing down or stopping for the user, the firms say. It identifies authorised personnel, providing true, secure access, at the speed of life, according to the companies.

Using FST Biometrics’ core software, IMID Access, which serves as the backbone of In Motion Identification, provides identity management and access control, visitor management, fraud detection, and remote monitoring.

Steve Baker CEO at Genie said: “We are delighted to be partnering with FST Biometrics. This is a great opportunity for us to widen our Access Control product portfolio and implement this cutting edge technology into our upcoming projects. We see a real benefit of this technology in corporate office buildings, university campuses, data centers and stadiums and I hope we can demonstrate the benefits of this solution to our customers.”

And Arie Melamed Yekel, Chief Marketing Officer at FST Biometrics, said: “Genie have the ability and technical awareness to support and promote FST’s fully proven “in motion” identification system. They will provide an important strategic partnership for FST, which we are sure will become extremely successful.”

Genie are exhibiting at IFSEC this year on stand E950; at London Excel from June 21 to 23.
