Intruder panel

by Mark Rowe

Advisor Advanced, an intruder alarm panel, has been launched by Chubb Fire & Security. The panel is fully scalable to protect up to 64 zones.

The product provides both visual and audio indicators that an intrusion has been detected, and can be accessed with a personal identification number (PIN), card, or a mix of both. The makers say it’s suited for small-sized businesses, large residential properties and medium to large business premises. The product can be expanded to include up to 32 wireless zones, bringing it is claimed advantages for systems that need to be extended into areas where wires may be impractical or disruptive. That the product works with GSM/GPRS or PSTN/ISDN lets customers communicate with their system from anywhere, by sending and receiving SMS notifications. The panel also connects, and is compatible with, future technology, such as access control systems.

Colin Leatherbarrow, director, product solutions, Chubb Fire & Security, says: “Advisor Advanced is a solution that meets the needs of a large range of customers, bringing high-quality intruder detection to a wide variety of building applications. Where specialist technology or systems are needed, then we will of course continue to work with best-in-class providers,” he adds. “But the panel has been designed to bring the highest quality technology to the widest number of customers.” The Advisor Advanced product range also includes smoke detectors, magnetic contacts, motions sensors and door controls.
