Access Control

Access control device

New from Software House , part of the Security Products business unit of Tyco, is the C•CURE 9000 SiteServer.

It’s a compact network device that provides access control for small sites, up to 32 readers, and can be used in a distributed enterprise the makers add. C•CURE 9000 SiteServer is described as a single-box access control solution, enabling everything from designing and printing badges for new employees, to monitoring day-to-day staff activity via the web-interface.

Rafael Schrijvers, Product Marketing Manager, EMEA, Tyco Security Products, said: “C•CURE 9000 has always been the solution of choice for large, enterprise customers with rigorous security requirements. Those same customers looked to Software House to help provide that same level of functionality to some of their smaller branches or satellite offices, and C•CURE 9000 SiteServer delivers that in a cost-effective solution. This latest version of C•CURE 9000 SiteServer takes that to the next level with its support for a distributed environment.”

The product comes with pre-installed software and an intuitive start up wizard. A pre-configured starter database containing 32 doors with associated inputs, outputs, alarms, and card formats reduces set-up time, while the web interface lets a user remotely manage staff records, display dynamic views of doors, readers, inputs/outputs, and controllers, and monitor system activity. A health dashboard provides visibility to network bandwidth, memory and other important system functions.
