SIA conference

by Mark Rowe

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) is holding its annual stake-holder conference on Wednesday, November 20, in central London.

The conference Partners in Protecting Society will run at the Cavendish Conference Centre, Duchess Mews, W1G 9DT. The agenda will include serious and organised crime, physical intervention (as a training requirement for the SIA licence for front-line door staff), the private investigations sector (due to be badged as featured in the September issue of Professional Security) and planned service improvements.

The delegate fee is £110 which includes VAT, registration, lunch and refreshments. The regulator reports that this fee has been set at a cost recovery basis only, with no profit margin.

Note that the fee cannot be refunded once your booking has been confirmed. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The SIA will not be taking bookings after Wednesday, November 13.

Book your place at the conference at http://www.activate-events.co.uk/sia2013/
