Have you witnessed an act of bravery?

The Worshipful Company of Security Professionals wishes to draw your attention to the City of London Sherriff’s Award for Bravery and seek your support in gaining nominations.

To give you some background, this annual and prestigious award is given to an individual who has shown commendable and selfless courage in the course of protecting another person or their property. Nominations are sought nationally from any member of the public, emergency services or military. The recipient of this award will be presented with a trophy, framed certificate and cheque for £2500; the winner’s name will also be permanently inscribed on the Honours Board and in the Book of Honour in the Central Criminal Court – the Old Bailey.

The 2015 award will be presented by the Sheriffs of the City of London at the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals’ Annual Dinner on Monday, 12 October 2015. Travel and accommodation costs will be reimbursed for the winner.

Nominations need to be received by 1 August 2015, though they are welcome before. Nominations can be made on line via a web based form at http://www.wcosp.com/index.php/the-sheriffs-award or downloaded from the same location and sent to the Clerk, Mrs Tricia Boswell, 34 Tye Green, Glemsford, Sudbury, Suffolk CO10 7RG.
