Spectra Group is exhibiting at DVD 2009, a defence diary event for those involved in the equipment and support for the armed forces. Organised by the MoD for vehicle, battlefield infrastructure and related support services industries, it provides an opportunity for Spectra Group to demonstrate the capabilities of SHADE.
That’s a self-contained, rapid deployment network infrastructure. The telecoms firm says that SHADE provides a solution to restore voice and data communications where high intensity conflicts, natural disasters, pandemics or terrorist attacks may have destroyed existing networks.
The 700 acre facility at Millbrook offers an ideal setting for participants to understand and experience the capabilities of equipment in an interactive environment. Spectra with Milsys, a supplier of rapidly deployable shelters, is to provide visitors with free drop-in internet cafe facilities enabling them to maintain communications throughout the event.
DVD 2009 takes place on June 24 and 25, at Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedfordshire.
