Martin Harvey is the Business Resilience Manager at Bristol Water, studying for a BA (Hons) in Security and Risk Management at the University of Leicester.
For his dissertation project, he wants to examine the perception that security management is still dominated by former police officers and ex-servicemen, or whether academic qualifications and membership of professional organisations are now seen as essential requirements.
This research will involve a short questionnaire (taking five to ten minutes) to be completed by people employed in security management and those intending to enter this field, including students studying undergraduate degrees at various UK universities.
