South west business date

by Mark Rowe

Monday, April 11, will see the first South West Business Crime Conference, at the Somerset County Cricket Club, Taunton. The event is organised by the Taunton-based Somerset business crime partnership organiser Andy Sharman.

More in the March 2016 print issue of Professional Security magazine.

He says: “The event will feature many business crime issues with presentations on cyber; rural; and retail crime. Speakers will cover regional and national topics as well as local representations on some of the work being carried out by Business Crime Reduction Partnerships in the region.”

The event will conclude with a business crime hustings featuring regional Police and Crime Commissioner candidates from around the South West, ahead of the May elections for PCCs, the second after the original ones in November 2012.

The hustings will be chaired by Bernard Rix from CoPaCC and Policing Insight. Attendees are welcomed to submit their questions for this part of the conference (as long as they are happy to stand up and ask the question directly, if their question is approved).

Sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities are available. Visit www.somersetbac.org.uk.
