Flatscreens donated

by Mark Rowe

A Yorkshire-based installer has given two 47-inch Panasonic Viera LCD flatscreen TVs with portable stands to Rotherham Hospice, to be enjoyed by patients as they relax on the wards.

Mike Wilkerson, Chief Executive of Rotherham Hospice, said of the donation from local firm Reflex Systems: “We are absolutely delighted with the fantastic donation of these state-of-the art screens by Reflex, which will add significantly to the environment in and around the Hospice, for patients and visitors alike. We are heavily reliant on donations from local companies and individuals who share our vision, so I would like to thank Reflex for their extremely timely gesture. Christmas can be a particularly difficult time for our patients and their families, and anything which improves the Hospice experience, in however small a way, is most welcome.”

John Pye, Reflex Group Managing Director, said: “The hospice is right on our doorstep and I’m a firm believer in supporting the local community wherever possible. In the case of the hospice, the work it does in looking after the terminally ill and providing support to their families cannot be underestimated. We are really pleased to be able to offer the hospice these Panasonic screens and hope that the patients get a great deal of enjoyment from them over the Christmas period and beyond.”
