CCTV – the movie

by Mark Rowe

Do you want to watch CCTV – the movie? If you do, are you ready and able to pay for the film-makers to make it!?

Here’s the plot. When teenaged Rebecca is kidnapped on her way to school, her father Neil, a CCTV operator is forced to shut down the CCTV surrounding the city’s largest bank. Under the watch of the kidnappers, Neil struggles against computer failsafes, but when co-worker Alan arrives, it turns more complicated …

The film-makers were asking for £2000 – most of that to go towards the costs for an ambulance and a couple of police cars for the end-scene. The film makers plan to shoot in mid to late February, and to complete in May with screenings in June.

Depending on how much you can pledge to the film, you could attend one of the first screenings in June 2013. For how to be one of the crowd-funders – and who the film makers are – and more details generally, visit – http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/samoac/cctv-a-short-british-thriller

If the film-makers don’t know what they are talking about, they do have someone they can ask – Samo Chandler one of the organisers is the nephew of Graham Chandler, Group Managing Director of CSG UK.
