Golf date

A charity golf day on Monday September 22 at the Stapleford Abbotts Golf and Country Club by the security recruitment firm SSR Personnel is in aid of the returned military charity PTSD Resolution.

This Essex golf complex consists of 45 holes; the main Championship Course is the Abbotts a par 72, 6501 yard Championship Golf Course designed in 1989 to USGA specifications by golf course architect, Howard Swan. The Abbotts course has eleven separate water features all of which can come into play and can be assured to capture those stray shots. The Abbotts course is a test for any low handicap golfer. Competition

The day will start from 9am for registration, where you can enjoy a bacon roll, with tea or coffee. Warm up/practice facilities are available before the first tee time of 10:34am. It will be an individual full handicap, stableford competition over 18 holes to decide the prizes. Maximum handicap – Men (24), Women (28). There will be a nearest the pin and longest drive prize, on selected holes. Once your round is complete, you will be able to enjoy a two course dinner, with prize giving and raffle to follow. The price will be £60 per player, with a concession for four-balls booked, at £220.

About the charity

PTSD Resolution offers treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder, to help veterans and TA who are struggling to reintegrate into a normal work and family life.
