ENO extension

by Mark Rowe

First Security, the guarding arm of FM contractor Interserve, has contract extensions with the English National Opera (ENO), and, separately, with London’s independent Regent’s University.

First has extended its contract with the ENO to deliver security services at the Coliseum Theatre and Lilian Baylis House in central London. The security company will continue to provide access control and post room services, as well as fire, health and safety marshals and event security services including ushering, first aid and crowd control.

Working at Regent’s University since 2009, First will continue to provide security staff across 16 buildings, spanning more than 28,600 square feet, including four extra buildings. The contractor will also provide response services at the Marylebone campus.

John Briggs, pictured, operations director at First Security, says: “The confidence these clients show in our service delivery is due in no small part to the integrity and hard work of our guards on a daily basis. Working so closely with the clients’ people and property, it’s imperative we support the image and culture of our clients, while achieving targets and developing transparent partnerships.”
