Our Vision – “To create and nurture a culture that
secures the principles which protect people, property and liberty”
The
Worshipful Company of Security Professionals represents the
collective
Charitable focus of one of the most dynamic sectors in global
commerce. It has a diverse representative membership with our
Liverymen and Freeman drawn from many fields of expertise.
With approximately 500,000 people working in the security sector
and an economic benefit of up to £7bn annually to the
UK, the security profession will continue to increase in size
and demographics for the foreseeable future.
The WCoSP is active across a number of sectors but our contribution
to the City, Education and Welfare is particularly emphasised
through
The
Sheriffs’ Award
A
national award for bravery, celebrating Heroes or Organisations
who have contributed to safeguarding our People, Property
or our Liberty.
The Whittington Course
A
unique partnership with the Bexley Academy sponsored by Sir
David Brewer CMG to introduce Business Management students
to the City of London and to encourage them to achieve their
school moto that ”No goal is beyond our reach”.

A
life style advice website providing counselling and medical
assistance for those employed in the security profession.
In addition, we have supported worthy causes with donations
totalling in excess of
£110,000 to fund a broad range of organisations’
projects and deserving individuals
and families who have fallen upon difficult times.
The WCoSP offers no social comments. We strive to underpin and
assist the
many people who work to keep us all safe and, importantly, free
from the many
dangers society poses.
We also seek to continue to promote our profession by ensuring
that WCoSP ,
as the 108th Livery Company , continues to be recognised and
promoted by the Lord
Mayor and Aldermen of the City of London. This will endorse
and support the
many facets of diversity and expertise that our membership bring
to the City of
London and to our nation.
