by Mark Rowe

Users of Gallinet’s scheduling, monitoring and workplace management software, PeopleHours, have had a free upgrade. The software firm describe their application as true 100 per cent web based, and used by over 200 security companies in the UK and overseas. Before this upgrade it could only be used on a PC with Internet Explorer. This latest version lets users access their operational data in a variety of ways and using a variety of devices. Support has been added for all major browsers and tablet and touchscreen devices such as the I-Pad, Nexus and Galaxy. The product allows live time and attendance data steaming to the people that need it. On-site supervisors or mobile managers can create or change schedule allocations with automated notifications sent to employees affected by the changes. The firm says that this upgrade is part of an overall strategy of extra features planned this year, to offer a suite of tools to manage every aspect of a manned guarding business such as vetting and screening, on-line forms and a variety of apps for front-line and back office staff.
