Physical Security

Traka at RBTE 2017

by Mark Rowe

The makers of intelligent key cabinets and lockers, Traka, is attending the annual retail sector exhibition RBTE 2017. The manufacturer says it’s to showcase its latest security solutions for retail stores and shopping centres, to protect keys and vital equipment, saving time and money.

On stand 399, the company will showcase how its products offer audit trails, to ensure monitoring and control. Visitors will also be able to see live displays of how specialist Traka software can provide real time reporting, detailing who has used each set of keys or piece of equipment, and when.

As the product firm says, staff become more accountable and all keys and equipment are returned at the end of shifts, leading to reduced security requirements, with less damage and turnover of handheld scanners and other portable equipment.

Steve Bumphrey, Sales Director at Traka UK says: “Many retailers continue to report loss of productivity due to equipment not being available at the start of shifts, or being faulty or lost. There are many factors influencing this, including lack of accountability and reporting, no measures in place to ensure equipment is returned at the end of shifts, and human resource issuing equipment rather than an automated intelligent system.

“For Traka, RBTE is the perfect platform for us to demonstrate how intelligent key and equipment management can make a significant difference in process control, productivity and cost savings. We will show how Traka systems and specialist software can control, manage and audit the use of every key, or piece of equipment to ensure accountability, visibility and traceability at all times, and offer total peace of mind.”

RBTE is running on Monday and Tuesday, May 8 and 9, 2017 at London Olympia; visit www.traka.com.
