Storage cabinets

by Mark Rowe

The Fire Stor range of fire and burglary resistant storage cabinets from Securikey offers a way of keeping documents and other valuables.

When the home or workplace succumbs to fire, the destruction of documents such as insurance policies, wills, passports and certificates can greatly prolong the time it takes for a person or company to get their affairs in order. The Fire Stor protects against this with a double walled construction that incorporates a fire resistant filling according to DIN 4102.

Securikey is a member of Euro Safe UK. The Fire Stor range has undergone burglary tests to prove each cabinet complies with EN14450–S1. Each cabinet is fitted with five heavy-duty locking bolts secured on three sides as well as a VdS approved safe lock. The Fire Stor is suitable the makers say for the storage of valuables up to the value of £20,000, depending on risk and location.

Cabinets are available in five sizes, ranging from 860mm to 1,950mm in height and 600mm to 1,200mm in width. All have a depth of 520mm. Other options include an internal lockable compartment, pull-out frames that hold suspension files and extra shelving. As with all Securikey products, a range of locking options are available.
