Squire at MLA Expo 2015

by Mark Rowe

The eighth generation, family-owned British lock manufacturer Squire will use MLA Expo 2015 to preview its new security products and packaging for 2016.

Making its debut at the Telford show is Squire’s Stronghold SS80 padlock, designed as ‘the world’s strongest production padlock’ according to the Wolverhampton-based firm. This heavy duty padlock is capable of a tensile pull of 16-20 tonnes, and features a 2kg solid steel lock body and 16mm diameter hardened boron steel shackle.

Suitable the firm says for perimeter gates, warehouses, containers, lorries and high security doors, the Stronghold design is patented. Other additions to its formidable CEN grade Stronghold range will also be previewed, plus developments in Squire’s hi-security cylinders.

There will also be a chance to see advances with Squire’s new Stronglock laminated padlock range, pictured, as well as Squire’s new packaging designs.

Managing director John Squire said: “We’re proud to unveil our new products for next year at MLA Expo and our new look packaging, which is designed to reflect our premium brand status for ‘toughness guaranteed.’”
