The security composite panel manufacturer Securiclad has added to its business development team. Claire Sales will be responsible for supporting the North Tyneside-based company’s growth plans, which include further increasing its market share in the data centre, utilities, healthcare and financial sectors.

Securiclad offers a security product to Loss Prevention Standard (LPS) 1175 Security Rating (SR) 5, which means that it is designed and made to withstand determined attempts at forced entry using high-powered cutting tools as used by fire and rescue personnel. It is also approved for Government use by the Centre for the Protection Of National Infrastructure (CPNI). According to the company its product is suitable for the protection of areas containing servers, sensitive data, control equipment, hazardous substances, high value items and pharmaceuticals.

Beore joining Securiclad, Claire worked for 14 years in the utilities and mechanical sectors, where she specialised in bid management, project management and client liaison. She was Sales Engineer for engineering and manufacturing firm BEL Valves. Claire Sales is pictured with Mike McColl, managing director of Securiclad.

She said: “With the threat of terrorism still high on the agenda and the danger faced by organisations from acts such as burglary, sabotage and the theft of sensitive data, there is an increasing demand for our system. It’s truly an exciting time for the company and for the security industry, which is evolving at a fast pace, and I’m looking forward to what the future holds.”

Mike McColl added: “Claire joins us with a wealth of client-facing experience and has a real passion for the security sector. It’s fantastic to have her on-board as we move forward.”

About the product

Securiclad can be used in new buildings or retro-fitted to an existing site, and is pre-finished, negating the need for wet trade requirements. It has both internal and external applications and can be used to form a standalone ‘room’, kiosk or partition, for use in co-location premises. The product is modular, entirely bespoke and can be designed to specification. Manufactured at Securiclad’s facility in North Tyneside, the system is delivered across the UK and is available as a turnkey solution, via approved and certified nominated installers.
