Sanitiser with digital signage for germ control

by Mark Rowe

Fireco has released Germgard, pictured. It’s a smart sanitiser, with digital signage. Germgard has been designed to promote awareness of the importance of hand sanitisation to building users.

With COVID-19, good hygiene has become more important than ever. Fireco says that it has already helped many customers on their infection control with their hold-open devices, which can reduce the need to touch door handles.

Germgard is described by the firm as a smart sanitising system which monitors people passing through your chosen doorways. A screen indicates detection and a message is shown, requesting that the user sanitises their hands using the installed dispenser. Germgard can be combined with door systems so that the use of hand sanitiser is a requirement before gaining entry. This can be a stand-alone system or it can be integrated with electronic door locks, automatic doors, and access control.

Helen Elligate, Marketing Manager said: “We are really excited to add Germgard to our product portfolio, as we can now offer a full range of products for germ control.”

And James Wheeler, Chief Commercial Officer said: “Our customers require visual, physical products as evidence in promoting their return to work strategy to their workforce. Germgard meets those requirements, ensuring best practice, encouraging occupants to self-police when moving around the building.”

Fireco offer all readers free Germgard installations, usually priced at £350. To claim your offer, call Fireco on 01273 320650 and quote ‘Introductory Installation’. Offer runs until September 30.
