Partnership Program

by Mark Rowe

ASSA ABLOY Hospitality (formerly VingCard Elsafe) has launched its new Certified Partnership Program, allowing third-party mobile application and solutions providers to integrate mobile access into their mobile-based solutions for hoteliers.

Adding ASSA ABLOY Hospitality’s Mobile Access solution to existing hotel apps means that guests will be able to use their smartphone, device or smart watch as the key to their room, as well as to check-in and check-out. This new solution maximizes operational efficiency and guest loyalty, as well as reducing costs and driving revenue, according to the product company.

ASSA ABLOY Hospitality says that it developed the Certified Partner program to make it more convenient for hoteliers to have all of their mobile functionality combined into a single app or solution. It gives guests a greater reason to download the hotel’s mobile app, as it provides a convenient and secure way to access their room without the need to carry a keycard. This provides the hotel with an added opportunity to promote other services and amenities, which will in turn drive revenue.

Gard Gabrielsen, Global Product Director / Mobile Access & Credentials at ASSA ABLOY Hospitality, says: “As smartphones get even smarter, tech-savvy consumers increasingly expect this kind of functionality when traveling. Recent industry research shows that more than 70 percent of travelers would be likely to use their smartphone to check-in and bypass the front desk.”
