Panic room on show

by msecadm4921

The Panic Room Company is among exhibitors at Counter Terror Expo at London Olympia on April 25 and 26.

Steve Brook, Business Development Director for the panic room suppliers says: “Demand is coming from a wide cross-section of society from high net worth individuals safeguarding family and possessions to the close protection industry, cargo and leisure shipping to commercial property, each using the Panic Room as a last point of defence when under attack.” Other users include embassies and the military. The makers say the product can be specified to withstand mechanical attacks, shotgun fire and more powerful weapons.  Each unit can be adapted to alarms, smoke screens or CCTV.  Delivered flat-pack, the room can be installed in half a day with minimal manpower and be disguised to blend in, the makers say.  Although the time spent within is likely to be minimal, the room has external ventilation and air filtration, breathing equipment, lighting, back-up power supplies, fresh water and basic toilets.

The firm reports distributors signed up in the UK, Spain, South Africa and beyond.
