Mesh designer

by Mark Rowe

The West Midlands-based mesh fencing manufacturer Zaun has appointed a new designer. Frank Archer from Wolverhampton has joined the design team, reporting in to research and development manager Adam Christie.

He joins after stints in 3D design and e-commerce at an exhibition set and shop designer for furniture businesses, such as Duresta and Kesterport, and building an eBay store for aftermarket car parts business Energized Customs.

Archer initially studied aerospace engineering at the University of Bristol with the plan of joining the RAF, but a diagnosis of colour blindness prevented him becoming a pilot. He switched to a BSc in CAD and construction at Wolverhampton University.

Christie said: “We’re delighted to have Frank on board at a time when we are developing ever more secure fencing systems and the business is growing with massive new orders.”
