Membership services officers

by Mark Rowe

The Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI) has appointed two new Membership Services Officers to work at its head office in London to provide support and services to its 200-plus members.

Harry Evans, pictured, has been appointed focusing on the Guild’s education portfolio, and to support the Institute of Architectural Ironmongers (IAI) branch meetings and administration. Davina King is the other Membership Services Officer, with particular responsibility for the management of the GAI and IAI’s subscriptions and membership database, the issuing of membership certificates, for the distribution of the Guild’s quarterly magazine, the AIJ, and for financial matters.

Gary Amer, chief executive of the GAI, said: “We now have a team at full strength, and Harry and Davina have already made a significant impact on improving our responsiveness to our members’ needs. We are the UK’s only trade body solely dedicated to promoting the interests of the whole architectural ironmongery industry, including architectural ironmongers themselves, and the manufacturers and wholesalers of door hardware products. Our commitment is to provide members in the UK and across the world with a highly rated education programme, technical advice and support, publications and networking opportunities.”
