Fencing committee

by Mark Rowe

The European Fencing Industry Association (EFIA) has added to its development committee.

EFIA reports that it continues to see record growth in membership and is determined to ensure that all members have a clear voice in the association. Hence the association hopes to bring in some more members to help on the committee, bringing a wider industry experience to the expert panel dedicated to the needs of their membership. The newly expanded committee has already brought an element of dynamism to recent meetings, says EFIA Chairman, Bernard Kilbride, pictured.

He says: “We are delighted to have such an enthusiastic group of individuals making up our development committee and are already seeing some great ideas emerging with regards to training, development and further increasing membership.” he said. “A larger committee is also advantageous in that the range of industry knowledge and skills are much broader from those in attendance. We’re interested in what our members need and want to be inclusive.”

The development committee, which meets regularly, comprises Bernard KilBride, Alison Payne, Bob Jennings and Graham Harper, with new members Cameron Glanville from Pembury Fencing, Kate Scott from Profence, James Earl from Wyatt Fencing, Stephen Russell from Lochrin Bain and Stephen Shipley from Citadel Security.

About the EFIA

EFIA has been going since 1982 and has almost 100 members, including fencing contractors, manufacturers, stockists, installers, and other individuals and organisations involved within the industry. Visit www.efia.co.uk.
