Charity cycling challenge

by Mark Rowe

Greg Stuttle, Business Development Manager at the perimeter security product company GJD recently took part in a three-day, 250 mile charity cycling challenge to help raise funds for the British Heart Foundation. Pictured left to right are Mark Chesney and Greg.

Greg was one of 200 cyclists that rode from Kent to the Palace of Versailles in France. Greg said: “I completed this ride with my brother John last year and it inspired six of my friends to join me this year, so we created The Essex Boys Team. The cycling challenge was both physically and mentally exhausting. However, when I crossed the finish line I was extremely happy and pleased that I had helped to raise funds for a wonderful charity”.

This year, Greg has raised £600 for the British Heart Foundation but it is expected that the Essex Boys Team will raise £2000 in total. The British Heart Foundation has also announced that from sponsorship paid through JustGiving, the cycling challenge has raised at least £200,000.
