Car marketing

by Mark Rowe

A fencing and access control company is making a move into ambient advertising, with a customised Smart car.

The bright Smart car features a garden scene, to support, says Jacksons, the Kent-based fence manufacturer, the company’s approach to environmental issues.

The new car will be in regular use by Jacksons employees but will also be putting in appearances around the country at events in the Jacksons show calendar. CEO Richard Jackson says “We wanted to dip our toe into the ambient advertising market and explore the benefits of reaching our targets in a surprising and memorable guise, during their ‘down time’ when they are likely to be more receptive to subtle advertising messages. Following last year’s 65th anniversary celebrations, it is also poignant to note that the company still remains at the forefront of the very latest marketing tactics and is prepared to trial new concepts rather than rely on traditional advertising strategies.”

Details of the shows Jacksons will be attending in 2013 can be found at: www.jacksons-fencing.co.uk.
