BDMs appointed

by Mark Rowe

The manufacturers of door and emergency exit hardware HOPPE UK have appointed Andy Syms and Ellen Mack as business development managers (BDMs) for the north of England, and Ireland.

Andy has spent over 26 years in the architectural ironmongery sector. His most recent role was as business development manager at Primera Life, designers and manufacturers of specialist hardware, where he provided support to international customers. Earlier, he worked for HOPPE UK as a regional sales manager for the north west of the UK.

Ellen is joining from Moffett Thallon, a branch of Macnaughton Blair, a distributor and manufacturer of specialist doors and ironmongery in Northern Ireland, where she was a technical sales representative. Ellen brings over 22 years of industry experience to HOPPE and will be the first business development manager to represent HOPPE in Ireland.

Andy Matthews, head of sales at HOPPE UK, said: “It’s great to have two people joining our team, bringing a wealth of industry knowledge and experience with them. They join us at an exciting and busy time as we celebrate 20 years of ARRONE, and several new product launches throughout this year.”

Andy Syms, pictured, said: “I’m happy to be back at HOPPE and getting back into mainstream ironmongery. I’m really looking forward to renewing my relationships with long term customers and meeting plenty of new ones.”

And Ellen Mack said: “With this role I know there will be lots of new challenges and projects to get my teeth into. I can’t wait to get started, promoting the HOPPE and ARRONE name throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.”
