Physical Security

Attack Testing Zone

by Mark Rowe

The LPCB Attack Testing Zone is where physical security products are put to the test by trained engineers in live forced entry attacks; the spectacle returns to IFSEC this month. The security exhibition runs from Tuesday to Thursday, May 17 to 19, at ExCeL, London Docklands. Even organisers have released the line-up of the products on show.

The LPCB Attack Testing Zone is one of the more arresting sights (and sounds) that attracts visitors, and 2022 is set to be no different, say organisers. You can observe live test sessions, carried out by professionals from the LPCB to demonstrate the effectiveness of some of the most robust physical security equipment in the industry.

The Attack Testing Zone will showcase a wide range of products used to protect high security facilities and sites, such as critical infrastructure, and mitigate against the potential risks of terror incidents:

– Fencing
– Gates
– Turnstiles
– Doorsets; and
– High security padlocks

BRE’s security test engineers will carry out a series of live forced entry tests on a variety of security products, demonstrating their approach when evaluating products’ resistance to forced entry, the capabilities of products certified to LPS1175 and the dangers of selecting uncertified products.

IFSEC is free to attend – visit https://www.ifsecglobal.com/, to register for an electronic ticket. You can then also go to co-located shows covering health and safety, fire (Firex), facilities management and intelligent buildings.
