Asset management system

by Mark Rowe

Replace your old manual outdated key boxes with a modular unit that can be integrated into your facility’s ERP and access system, says the product supplier Safelocking. Stand alone plug and play is also an option. This asset management product, pictured, is suitable for keeping large numbers of keys, laptops, documents, phones and drugs safe, and readily accessible for authorised staff.

Whether it is permanent staff, or contractors the secured areas can be controlled, monitored, and recorded by user, date, and time. Access to the cabinet is via a PIN code, access card, fingerprint, or any combination of these. Keys are secured to the RFID tags by secure cable seals. Should the keys go missing or be overdue an alert is raised.

The product monitors how often it’s accessed and by whom. The weighted trays in the lockers are a unique feature, the makers add.

In the event of an electricity outage the back-up battery will retain all data for continued operation. A UVC germicidal light mounted inside the cabinet is a recently added option whereby cabinets can keep the keys protected from bacteria and viruses.

A facial recognition feature will soon be available as an option to ensure contactless entry to the cabinet. Bookable online demonstrations are available. Visit https://safelocking.co.uk/.
