Marks and Spencer Glos doors

by Mark Rowe

Ingersoll Rand has provided glazing and doors to a new Marks and Spencer store in Gloucester.

Galliford Try commissioned Ingersoll Rand to design, supply and install manual and automatic doors throughout, smoke screens on the elevator, the glass shop front as well as fire safety steel doorsets for the exit routes of the building.

As the entire project had to be installed and completed within six weeks, Galliford Try wanted to source a single consultant able to project-manage the whole and provide post-installation support.

Gurbachan Gill, National Account Manager at Ingersoll Rand, said: “The safety of customers is paramount for any retailer, especially for a chain as large as Marks and Spencer. At Ingersoll Rand, we constantly strive to share our expertise in this area and we’re delighted that we were able to provide our client with a fully compliant high specification security and fire safety solution.”

Debbie Callahan, Principle Architect at Galliford Try, said: “We were delighted to work with Ingersoll Rand on this project. It had a number of deliverables within it which were driven by extremely tight timescales and a requirement for the highest levels of quality.

“Ingersoll Rand provided the whole solution from sourcing, manufacturing and installing the correct products and security solutions to providing expertise throughout, ensuring a single point of contact as well as full project management and on-going support.”
