by Mark Rowe

The Security Buying Group has appointed Paul Scott as technical director to work on its IP products and services.

Paul, who joined the Stockport-based distribution company in 2013, has IP CCTV, network design and integrated security system expertise. He brings 25 years of experience, with previous roles in engineering, technical support and product management for security companies including DM, Honeywell and Sensormatic.

Paul says: “I will continue to help manage our IP CCTV products and services. This includes training and supporting customers using and deploying Aimetis Video Management Software and Video Analytics. We offer system design, pre-configuration and commissioning services both off-site and in-situ. With server based solutions, like Aimetis, we provide storage calculations for standard, RAID 5 and RAID 1 configuration; network bandwidth calculations for cameras and storage; server specifications for operating Aimetis as a VMS and with analytics; and client PC options for viewing and control. We supply high quality security products to UK integrators, with equally high-quality engineering support services behind them.”

The Security Buying Group Ltd is the UK agent for Grundig and Aimetis distributor. For more on SBG ring 0161 480 5922 or visit www.securitybuyinggroup.co.uk.
