Sales appointment

by Mark Rowe

Axis Communications, the network video product manufacturer, has appointed Håkan Johansson as Sales Director for Northern Europe. He has responsibility for the Nordic countries, UK and Ireland. Håkan worked with Liaison Technologies, a cloud-based data integration and data management company. He has over 30 years’ experience in sales and management, having held senior roles at Motorola, Avaya and Anixter, among others. His previous roles spanned across the UK, Belgium and the USA.

Håkan, pictured, says: “I’m hugely excited to have been given this opportunity. Axis is a leading network video company in an expanding industry, which is going through rapid technological change. With a background working for companies operating in network, telecom and cloud services businesses, I will add value to Axis and its partners while helping to further drive strategic direction. Axis is a manufacturer with an indirect channel and go-to-market strategy, which I see as very positive and exciting. It is a great privilege to work for a company of Axis’ calibre, with highly skilled engineering teams and a professional, trustworthy sales strategy.”

Atul Rajput, Regional Director of Northern Europe at Axis Communications, says: “We’re immensely pleased in welcoming Håkan to our growing team. With a skill set in innovative technologies, set to become increasingly prevalent within our industry, I am confident Håkan is well placed to oversee Axis’ sales strategy across our Northern Europe territories and support Axis partners in their growth. With a number of recently completed acquisitions, Axis is entering the next stage of its development; this appointment is testament to providing the sales and strategic backbone needed to support it.”
