Recorder launches

by Mark Rowe

The distributors COP have launched a new range of Dahua recorders that include two ultra-HD 4K network recorders and six HDCVI digital recorders. These recorders will be placed alongside the Dahua powered range of Nexus IP NVRs and the Inspire analogue and HD-SDI DVR ranges. All COP’s recorders are supplied with WD Purple, pictured, or Re hard drives. Gareth Rhodes, Sales & Marketing Manager at Cop Security, says: “We are pleased to announce that COP Security’s continued growth has been secured by a UK distribution agreement with Dahua Technology. This already builds upon the success of both of the companies working partnership with WD.”

The Dahua 4K range comes in two NVRs with eight or 16 channels. Both come with PoE on all channels and up to 256Mbps of incoming bandwidth. Both of the units have 4K recording, playback and live display. And the Dahua HDCVI range has been launched with six tribrid recorders with three offering 720p and three offering 1080p recording resolutions. Both ranges include four, eight 16 channels options; and all support HDCVI, IP and analogue cameras.

WD Purple Surveillance Storage is built for 24/7 always-on surveillance in high-definition security systems that use up to eight hard drives and up to 32 cameras. Exclusive AllFrame technology works with ATA streaming to reduce error pixilation and video interruptions that occur when desktop hard drives are incorrectly used as storage in security systems. And WD Re datacenter hard drives offer a combination of high-capacity, peak performance and robust design. These drives are for heavy workload environments, cloud storage, RAID arrays, external storage arrays, data warehousing and mining applications.

Jermaine Campbell, WD Country Sales Manager, says: “WD the leader in surveillance class HDD is pleased to recognise COP and Dahua as key partners in the CCTV market, our collaboration ensures that users receive the highest standard DVR and NVR solutions. Our dedication to the surveillance market has been rewarded by manufacturers and installers around the world with unprecedented sales growth and market share of WD Purple hard disc drives. WD are committed to providing the highest performance and most reliable surveillance class HDD. Working with key partners like COP and Dahua, we will continue to raise the standard of the DVR and NVR experience.”
