AVer, the CCTV and HD video-conferencing product company, has released the E5016 NVR, a network video recorder with smart tools and offering remote management.

Offering the company says PC-like performance with the stability of Linux, the E5016 offers a throughput of 120Mbps with 16 channels at up to 5MP and 30 frames per second per channel. It includes camera features such as region of interest, smart stream, motion detection and privacy zones, alongside intelligent streaming to allow users to preview all 16 channels in real time. Four removable HDD trays and RAID support add to storage capacity, with further capacity available via e-SATA interface with direct-attached storage. With tri-codec compression, this equates to non-stop recording on all channels at full HD 1080p resolution for around a month.

Suitable the firm says for use in a range of industries, the E5016 supports point of sale (POS) integration to allow up to five POS systems to be connected without the need for extra data processing devices. Live transaction data is overlaid onto live camera images, allowing for review and analysis of items sold through the use of keyword filtering.

For set up and use, there’s an intuitive GUI that offers click-and-drag preview selection and smart tools to reduce training time and costs. Also included are remote access and management applications, including AVer’s CMS (central management software) to offer control over configuration of remotely connected cameras, including remote recording and playback. AndroidViewer and iViewer mobile applications allow users to monitor and control events from a smartphones or tablets in real time.

Nigel Roberts, Marketing Manager of AVer, says: “The E5016 HD NVR is versatile enough to cope with a wide range of applications and industries, and doesn’t compromise on quality or ease of use. We’ve designed it with real companies in mind, addressing many of the common issues with traditional NVRs by including a wide range of smart monitoring technology and control.”
