New from Videoswitch is the VI-D5218, a HD quality IP dome. The makers point to an increased infra-red range and inclusion of power supply and wall bracket. The dome can be controlled by any the company’s hybrid recorders, VI-R3115, VI-R3145 and VI-R4105. Or it can be controlled on a PC using a web browser or the company’s VI-Viewer1000 software.
Video is compressed to H.264 standard and can be sent over an ethernet network via twisted pair, fibre, or wireless for pan and tilt control, viewing and recording. The CMOR design provides up to 300m diameter viewing in darkness, according to the company. The infra-red lamps track the dome movement, for 360 degree pan and 93 degree tilt coverage. The product offers eight speed settings and 256 pre-sets.
The dome also works with Mirasys and Exacq monitoring software. Contact [email protected] or visit www.videoswitch.co.uk.
