At the ISC West exhibition in Las Vegas, BCDVideo announced that its storage solutions have been optimised for IP Video design by HP. As a global HP OEM partner, BCDVideo designs and builds project-based recording servers exclusively on the HP ProLiant Generation 8 (Gen8) platform.

BCDVideo says that its OEM relationship with HP provides BCDVideo access to engineering and product development specialists within HP, as well as early products for testing. These HP OEM offerings include lifecycle management, controlled firmware updates, customization and branding. BCDVideo has access to pre-released products for testing.

Tom Larson, BCDVideo’s Director of Sales and Engineering, said: “Over the past five years, BCDVideo developed a go-to-market solution by working been working closely with the HP server and engineering teams. HP’s ability to share ideas and technologies has been instrumental in our attaining this special status on our IP Video servers. This relationship is significant as it gives our integrator customers an edge in knowing that our builds are proven for enterprise video recording.”

BCDVideo has recently released their SMART Technologies, which remotely allows the installer full control from anywhere, as well as their SuperNova series of Direct Access Storage arrays built on a 6G SAS backplane for up to one petabyte of storage in 22U of rack space. The SuperNova series is covered by a global five-year 24x7x4 DMR on-site warranty, provided by HP. Visit www.bcdvideo.com.
