Fisheye fixed dome cameras

by Mark Rowe

VIVOTEK has launched its two latest fisheye fixed dome network cameras SF8174 and SF8174V. Both are designed to work with the Taiwanese manufacturer’s Panoramic PTZ, developed by the firm for monitoring open areas with detail. Incorporating with a megapixel fisheye camera and a speed dome camera, Panoramic PTZ is able to monitor an area overview from the fisheye model while providing a view from a speed dome, offering a mix of fisheye camera and a speed dome.

As the upgraded version of SF8172, SF8174, installed with the firmware, keeps features, including 5-Megapixel CMOS sensor, removable IR-cut filters, wide dynamic range enhancement, a fisheye lens for 360 degree surround view (ceiling/floor/table mount) without blind spots. SF8174V, the robust version of SF8174, is designed with vandal-proof IK10-rated and weather-proof IP66-rated housing, enabling the camera to resist from the malicious attacks and the rain and dust. In compliance with EN50155 standard, SF8174V is able to withstand the shock and vibration, maintaining stable video during vehicle movement.

Steve Ma, Executive Vice President of VIVOTEK, said: “ We have committed to providing the market with most updated and state-of-the-art products. For bringing out the best synergy of our innovative Panoramic PTZ solution, we enhanced our previous generation fisheye cameras of the Panoramic PTZ solution. SF8174 and SF8174V are undoubtedly ideal choice for panoramic surveillance applications.”
