DVTEL at IFSEC 2015

by Mark Rowe

DVTEL, INC, the video surveillance solutions provider, will show its products during IFSEC International, from June 16 to 18, 2015, in London.

The new technologies include the IP-mmune suite, the topology United VMS 7.0, a new Web client with Smartphone-like user interface for command and control (CC), Quad HD cameras that incorporate true WDR and Quasar 4K Certified Solutions.

United VMS 7.0 features new hierarchical multi-system connectivity and a refreshed user interface. United VMS 7.0 global unified network topology connects Latitude with Horizon and Meridian as sub-VMS networks. United VMS 7.0 comes with DVTEL’s IP-protected adaptive streaming, which is compatible with Latitude, Horizon and Meridian.

The new Command and Control (CC) web and mobile client delivers remote access to Latitude, Horizon and Meridian United video management, enabling system control from any location. The new CC described as lightweight and sleek is devised for touch interface and access to the system through a web browser. It includes thumbnail-based navigation, which enables operators to browse through recorded footage, search for forensic evidence and export video files. The United CC provides users with access to video footage from any place, at any time. It works with Latitude 6.2 or later.

The Quasar camera line is expanded by the new Quasar Quad HD cameras. These are the highest resolution mini-dome and bullet cameras with true WDR available the makers claim. The cameras feature 1440p, true shutter WDR (wide dynamic range) and full real-time frame rate. The Quasar 4K cameras provide resolution that is four times greater than 1080p. The superior 4K full frame rate mini-dome and bullet cameras feature 4K detail digital zoom, motorized auto-focus P-Iris lenses and adaptive streaming to enable smart and efficient tile display.

DVTEL adds that its IP-mmune suite incorporates a multifaceted cyber defense approach based on “SID” IT security methodology (Search, Identify and Destroy, as needed) to counter cyber threats. IP-mmune protects cameras, VMS servers, client workstations and other surveillance devices by identifying vulnerabilities before a breach occurs, ensuring corporate assets and adjacent IT networks are protected, according to the firm.
