Exertis Micro-P, a UK IT channel distributor, has been appointed a distributor for Samsung Techwin’s IP network based video surveillance products.

Simon Shawley, pictured, is Director, UK and Ireland for the Security Solutions division of Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd. He said: “Exertis Micro-P’s expertise and reputation for providing outstanding customer service makes it the ideal business partner to help us promote our video surveillance solutions to the IT channel. We are excited about the opportunity to support and work closely with the Exertis Micro-P sales team to ensure that the sales growth opportunities presented by our innovative products, many of which incorporate technologies unique to Samsung Techwin, are brought to the attention of the thousands of professional installers, systems integrators and re-sellers who operate within the IT channel.”

A wholly owned subsidiary of DCC PLC, Ireland’s sixth largest company, Exertis Micro-P has stock of over 22,000 items held at the company’s distribution centre, so that customers can expect next day fulfilment of orders for IT related products including printers, PC components, networks, servers and storage as well as IT security.

Gavin O’Shea, General Manager of Networking and Unified Communications for Exertis Micro-P said: “We are extremely impressed with the latest generation of competitively priced Samsung Techwin ‘zero configuration’ WiseNetIII IP video surveillance cameras and ‘plug & play’ network recording devices. We are delighted to be able to add them to our product portfolio and in the process simplify the supply chain for customers who are looking for an end-to-end solution for network based video surveillance projects.”
