Yash Patel in India

by Mark Rowe

icomply India is based in New Delhi. In its latest project, icomply are partnering with Indian security firm Zicom, delivering alarm monitoring for three national financial institutions. The company now wishes to consolidate its position in the region. Hence they’ll be working with Yash Patel, as an electronic surveillance business development consultant.

Yash, pictured, also known as “Mr JVC” or “Mr CCTV” – is described a ‘true gentleman of the CCTV world’. In the last few years much of his time has seen him developing business in India and this is where he’ll be helping icomply.

icomply’s managing director, Hugh Barker, said: “In the last 12 months we have successfully established icomply in New Delhi – selling into projects throughout Asia and the Middle East. Now we are absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to work with Yash – his track record in building up a hugely successful international business speaks for itself and I’m sure that we will benefit tremendously from his extensive business acumen and expertise. On top of that – he’s a thoroughly nice bloke!”

icomply offer V-TAS Pro open integration software. The makers say that customers can extend the life of their legacy equipment – and buy into the new world of IP technology – using the same software. According to the firm it’s unreasonable to think that companies looking to upgrade their monitoring will have the budget to replace all of their analogue hardware along with it.

Coming from a business development role as Executive Director at JVC, Yash considers his greatest achievement there to be taking what was a small CCTV business in the security sector and establishing them as one of the leading businesses in the UK, and then Europe. When asked about the major security industry shifts during this time, Yash cites the move from analogue security to IP and network based solutions and the importance of managing the change slowly and thoroughly.
