Security management products at the new Arena Pantanal in Cuiaba for the upcoming 2014 World Cup games in Brazil have been provided by RISCO Group.

The 44,000 spectator arena will be controlled from a unified control room provided by RISCO Group, who will provide their Command and Control solution besides access control and a customised ticketing and validation system.

This Command and Control product uses the company’s SynopSYS Integrated Security and Building Management platform. It’s based on intuitive synoptic maps and integrates all security and building management systems and sub-systems, including those from third parties, into one unified interface.

And axesplus, RISCO’s access control product, will be incorporated within the platform and centrally controlled from the stadium’s main Command and Control Room. That will secure the hundreds of doors and turnstiles within the arena, to counter unauthorised entry and counterfeit tickets. RISCO is also providing a ticketing validation system complying with world football body FIFA’s regulations.

This multidisciplinary project is custom designed for one of the world’s foremost sporting events, the company adds.

Michael Isakov, Managing Director RISCO Security Management Solutions BU, says: “We are honoured to have been selected to provide the security solutions for the Arena Pantanal for the 2014 World Cup and thereafter. Our professional teams are currently working together with the System Integrator, to ensure that all integrated systems work together seamlessly and efficiently to assure a successful and safe mega event.”
