New at WLS (West London Security) is estimator Michael Reis. The company carries out projects as a supplier-subcontractor to electrical contractors, MEP specialists and main contractors, which often require design, specification and financial information as part of the bid process.
Managing director of WLS, Jeremy Ewen says: “With budgets, programmes and resources all under pressure, electrical contractors and construction companies are increasingly looking to specialists like us to help them compile the fire safety and security element of their bid with expert design, detailed specification information and accurate costings.
“Michael will work closely with our sales teams to ensure we offer a fast and efficient service, developing quotes based upon the customer’s brief and adding additional elements where required to ensure bid content is compliant as well as detailed and cost-effective.”
A business, maths and engineering graduate, Michael joins the SE27-based firm with more than three years’ experience as an estimator in the fire safety and security sector. His new role involves both responding to inbound enquiries and sales leads, and working with customers to develop or value engineer quotes.
Michael, pictured, adds: “I’ve always had a good head for figures and a commercial outlook and my engineering background means that I am able to understand the techie-side of the sector easily too.
“After more than three years in the sector you get to know which companies have a good reputation and are really respected in the industry. I knew WLS are very customer-focused and growing at a rapid rate, so, when the opportunity to join the company arose, I was really excited. I’m delighted to be on board and look forward to playing a key role in the company’s future growth and the development of an estimating team.”
