Integrated Systems

Wavestore at IFSEC

by Mark Rowe

At IFSEC International 2015, Wavestore will be demonstrating the latest version of its open platform Video Management Software (VMS).

James Smith is Marketing Director for Wavestore, which has recently won two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise for Innovation and International Trade. He said: “IFSEC will provide an ideal opportunity to showcase V6, the latest version of our VMS, which offers so much more than just industry leading video and recording management. Throughout the three days of the show, we will be offering live demonstrations of how our VMS is able to facilitate the delivery of business intelligence and improve operational efficiency, as well as provide a very powerful tool to combat criminal activity.”

While bringing together audio, data and video, including images from the latest ultra-high definition and 360 degree fish eye cameras, Wavestore also provides a platform for integration between disparate third-party technologies. Besides enabling the deployment of technology such as intelligent video analytics, it can also augment ‘dumb’ systems with video and ease of control to create what the firm terms a total security solution.

James Smith said: “We have already achieved deep integration between our VMS and a long list of best-in-breed technology and systems providers. However, visitors to stand D1350 will also be able to see how unique to Wavestore, bespoke project-specific and specialist integrations can be easily, quickly and cost-effectively implemented thanks to WaveStar, our protocol translation script that enables our developers to provide bespoke integration with almost any device, with the functionality you need.”

Visitors to the stand will also be able to experience WaveView, Wavestore’s review suite, which allows users to search and instantaneously retrieve recorded images of incidents, even over large amounts of footage, according to the firm; and display them alongside live images. Plus, for evidence purposes, a fully stitched-together sequence of events from any number of cameras can be exported in a range of video formats with three clicks of a mouse.

James Smith said: “Feedback from the marketplace has confirmed that our WaveView Review Suite is already a worldwide favourite among control room operators who need to rapidly retrieve recorded video in order to respond effectively to any incident. We are nevertheless constantly looking at ways we can further improve how easy our VMS is to use and that operators who often have to multi-task, will be impressed with our updated Graphical User Interface (GUI) in V6, which offers an enhanced customisable ‘one screen, total control’ display solution.”

Wavestore will be on stand D1350 at IFSEC, at ExCeL London on June 16 to 18, 2015.
